June 17 – 4.38.0 Estimated reading: 3 minutes This release introduces several enhancements to improve user experience and system performance, including streamlined user management, clearer credit note handling, and more informative purchase order emails. Analytics Improved context in management reports Management Reports now feature a descriptive page header that clearly explains the report’s purpose. The header includes a main title and a contextual subtitle that adapts to the active tab, making it easier to understand what you’re viewing at a glance. General Improvements Fix dropdown alignment and font size in data grids We’ve resolved visual inconsistencies in editable tables, such as those found in work order and mapping tables. Dropdowns now fit correctly within table rows, and text, input cursors, and dropdown chevrons maintain consistent alignment and font size between view and edit modes. Invoicing Allow negative total entry and normalize negative quantities on credit notes Creating credit notes is now more intuitive. The system automatically normalizes credit note inputs: quantities are converted to negative values, and unit prices to positive values. You can now directly edit the “Total” column, and the system will intelligently adjust quantities or unit prices. This also applies to purchase order credit notes. Fix income creation failing when invoice date is null We’ve fixed an issue where creating income entries would silently fail if the invoice date was left empty. Income creation now correctly accepts a missing or empty invoice date, automatically defaulting to today’s date for consistency across the system. Purchase orders Improve purchase order email subject clarity Purchase order email subjects now include the project code and project name, in addition to the purchase order name. This provides recipients with more context, especially when managing multiple projects or similar purchase orders. If the purchase order name is missing, the subject will default to ‘Purchase Order’. User management Redesigned user roles and permissions interface We’ve simplified the process of inviting new users and managing permissions. The new flow replaces confusing dropdowns with clear checkboxes, grouped into “Project manager or QS” and “Support user capabilities” sections. Each permission includes a plain-English description, and dependencies are handled automatically. The edit permissions dialog also provides a contextual warning when removing project management access. Add default project access template for company users Administrators can now configure a default project access template for each user. When a new non-confidential project is created, users with a default template will automatically be granted their configured permissions for that project. This streamlines onboarding and project setup, ensuring users have the right access from day one. This template can be managed from the user management screen.
