July 16 – 4.39.0 Estimated reading: 2 minutes This release introduces a new AI-powered Budget Conversion Assistant to streamline budget imports and includes several important bug fixes to improve data accuracy and system reliability, especially concerning Xero integrations and date handling in the Americas region. Budget AI Budget Conversion Assistant We’ve launched a new chat-based assistant to simplify converting external budget spreadsheets into Planyard-ready import files. Upload your source file, and the assistant will analyze it, confirm key assumptions (like totals, margins, and billing structure), and produce two downloadable Excel files: a Budget import file (with cost breakdown and client billing columns) and an Estimate import file (with markup percentages). This assistant supports various billing modes and aims to significantly reduce the manual effort of budget preparation. Fix cashflow export “Remaining” column The “Remaining” column in non-periodic cashflow forecast Excel exports now displays correct values. This fix ensures that current month expenses are not double-counted, aligning the export with the in-app display. General Improvements Prevent invoice and due dates from shifting across time zones Invoice and due dates will now remain stable and predictable across different time zones. This resolves issues where dates could unexpectedly shift, ensuring consistency in cost forms, mapping flows, and date pickers. Integrations Fix issues with sales account detection when sending to Xero Improved validation ensures that all line items in income documents have a sales account assigned before sending to Xero. Users will now receive a warning if an account is missing, preventing submission errors. Prevent false missing account errors for Xero incomes Resolved an issue where Xero income exports would incorrectly check for a purchase account instead of the sales account. Income can now be sent to Xero without requiring an unnecessary purchase account. Project settings Correct project accounting account warnings Warnings for unmapped budget items in project settings are now more accurate. A budget item is considered mapped if it has either a cost account or a sales account assigned, reducing unnecessary warnings.
