How to process stand alone labour cost

You can record labour-related costs in Planyard even if they aren’t tied to a work order. The process has two main steps: locating and starting the document, then processing and tagging the cost.

1. How to navigate and start processing the invoice

1. Go to Projects and open the relevant project.
2. In the project menu, go to Files.
3. Upload the cost document.
4. After the upload, click the document to open it for processing.

2. How to process and tag the cost

1. In the Company dropdown, select:
   • Your own company (for internal staff)
   • An external company (for hired labor)
2. In the Document type dropdown, choose the Team timesheet or Work progress option.
3. Fill in the general document details:
   • Document name
   • Invoice number (if applicable)
   • Contact (if applicable)
4. Tag the cost:
   • Click Labor cost
   • Or click Overhead cost
5. Scroll down to the allocation section.
6. Allocate the cost to the budget:
   • Click Select in bulk to view the full budget and choose multiple items
   • Or use the dropdown to select individual budget lines
7. Add the value of the cost to your selected items.

Note: The option to tag as labor cost or overhead cost only appears after selecting the document type.
